Tuition: $499; 2-day course.
This course is geared towards general dentists who are starting to take their steps in implant dentistry. It is designed to provide clinicians with a thorough understanding of basic implant placement techniques and the bone grafting procedures. This course is a combination of in-depth lecture, a hands-on workshop, and live surgical demonstration. Participants will be able to experience and practice different surgical techniques on models. The techniques covered in this course include atraumatic extractions, socket grafting, membranes and implant placement. Each participant will receive a manual that compiles the actual lecture material and relevant literature pertaining to the topics covered in the course. Participants are encouraged to bring in cases (models and radiographs) for consultation with our faculty.
After completing this course, clinicians will be able to treatment plan and perform basic implant and bone grafting surgeries. The clinician will also be able to recognize anatomoical limitations and high-risk cases, and will be able to minimize the potential for complications. A live surgical demonstration will allow experiencing a step-by-step implant surgery performed by the out faculty.
Tuition: $1350; 2-day course. Course Dates: April 23-24, 2010 Hours: 8:30am-4:30pm (includes complimentary meals). 16 CE credits upon completion.
This course is designed to provide clinicians with the scientific background and surgical technique to perform advanced bone grafting procedures. It is a combination of in-depth lectures, over the shoulder instruction, and a hands-on workshop with models on advanced bone grafting for implant placement. Emphasis will be placed on diagnosis, treatment planning, and advanced imaging techniques. Each participant will receive a comprehensive manual, which includes the lecture material and current literature relevant to the procedures covered in this course. Participants are encouraged to bring cases (models and radiographs) to consult with our course faculty.
This course is designed to provide clinicians with the scientific background and techniques to create predictable implant-supported overdentures. Implant success depends on accurate restoration design and proper occlusion, which will be covered in this course. Indications and contraindications for this different treatment modality will be discussed, and algorithm for successful treatment planning will be presented. The course will also review restorative and surgical complications and their management. This course is a combination of in-depth lectures and a hands-on workshop with models on advanced implant restorative techniques. Participants will place implants for an overdenture with a surgical guide, use the proper implant attachments, take impressions and retrofit an overdenture. Participants are encouraged to bring in cases
After completing this course, the clinician should be able to treat patients using implant overdentures and manage surgical and restorative complications. Participant will acquire diagnostic and treatment planning skills to treat more challenging cases that require a multidisciplinary approach.
Tuition: $1,200; 2-day course (includes complimentary meals). Course Dates: October 8-9, 2010 Hours: 8:30am-4:30pm (includes complimentary meals). 16 CE credits upon completion.
The esthetic integration of a restoration depends on the surrounding soft tissues and these will determine between treatment failure and success. While the restoration shape and color depends on the dental technician, the soft tissue architecture will depend on the surgeon’s expertise and proficiency in delicate plastic procedures. The goal of esthetic reconstruction is to provide patients with naturally-looking restorations. In order to achieve this goal, the gingival tissue surrounding a restoration must be similar to that of the healthy adjacent teeth to create the illusion of natural dentition. The course is designed to provide clinicians with the scientific background and surgical technique to perform advanced soft tissue surgery. Periodontal plastic procedures for natural teeth and implants will be covered in this hands-on curriculum. Among the procedures included in this course are soft tissue grafting for teeth and implants, connective tissue grafting of future implant sites as well as plastic procedures to enhance the esthetics. The course will also include the basic techniques of esthetic crown lengthening and osseous surgery for pocket reduction and will allow clinicians to provide patients with comprehensive treatment. The course is valuable for clinicians involved in implant and advanced bone grafting procedures. Proficiency in minimally invasive surgery and control of the soft tissue esthetics will lead to more esthetic and predictable outcome for patients. Participants are encouraged to bring in cases (models and radiographs) for discussion with the course faculty.
Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to treatment plan and treat esthetic cases with the acquired fundamentals of gingival harmony and esthetics. Clinicians will also gain knowledge in soft tissue surgery and will be able to achieve superior and predictable esthetic results for their patients through comprehensive surgical and restorative treatment.
